A group of over 60 CORA member dealers congregated at the Ole Climbing Gym in the east end of Beijing for the CORA FW10 Member Dealer Meeting November 19th and 20th.
The first day of the meeting covered Patagonia fall/winter 2010 collection. The meeting started with a fashioned show previewing the some of the hight-lights of the collection. All eight of the models for the fashion show were our very own CORA employees! Although they have never trotted the runways in Milan, they held their own after some serious training with a local professional modeling consultant.
The rest of the day was spent going through the product lines. Dealers was excited by the new line with improved fabric in the Capilene and Regulator line, as well as new styles in the technical outerwear and lifestyle collection, but it was the Alpine Insulation line that got the most attention. “The streamlined product architecture and the quality of the samples really set the Patagonia away from the other brands that we carry.” one of the dealers enthused.
The second day of the meeting covered the 2010 Gregory product line. The meeting was marked by the many newly introduced lines and SKUs for 2010. Among the highlights are the all new Fusion product line that bridged the gap between the traditionally technical LTS and DTS mid to small packs, and the street packs that urbanettes demand. The vintage Sunbird series was also unveiled and met with a lot of enthusiam and curiosity. 2010 marks the 40 year anniversary of the original Sunbird series and we are sure the Sunbird packs will generate the same kind of reaction to Chinese consumers when they are rolled out next spring.
