Gregory Moutain Products and its Chinese distributor, CORA, is launching a hike at the famed Yosemite national park in California.
This exciting event, co-sponsored by CORA and Gregory Moutain Products, will send three Gregory enthusiasts to Yosemite National Park, deep in the cascade range and a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts all over the world.
Yosemite, the crown jewel of the U.S. national park system, spans a vast area of 761,266 acres (308,205 hectares) in east central California. Established in 1890 as a result of the efforts of conservationist John Muir, it is located in the Sierra Nevada, it is a glacier-scoured area of great beauty. Yosemie’s awesome senery was the inspiration for countless Ansel Adams masterpieces.
Yosemite is also a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts and rock climbers. El Capitan and Half Dome are perhaps the most famous of the rocks in the park. Since the early 1960s, countless pioneers of rock climbing, including legends like Yvon Chiounard, Royal Robbins, Ron Kauk, Lynn Hill have grace the big walls of Yosemite.
To explore the magnificent natural beauty of Yosemite, and to trace roots of the outdoor movement in the U.S., we have put together this contests with generous help from Gregory and 8264.com.
Contestants enters her/his entry on 8264.com, the pre-eminent Web portal for the Chinese outdoor industry with photos and text about a recent trip. A panel of experts will select two dozen finalist over the course of next two months (June and July). At the begining of August, a on-line vote by the fans will determine who will be the lucky winners that will go to Yosemite for a trip of a lifetime!
